After studying mechanical engineering, Mr. Frers initially held various positions at AEG-Telefunken in Frankfurt am Main/Seligenstadt, Germany. From 1983 to 1987 he was production manager of the electronics plant at Nixdorf Computer AG in Paderborn, Germany.
Mr. Frers founded paragon electronic GmbH in 1988, which merged with paragon AG, founded eleven years later, prior its IPO. As CEO of paragon AG, Mr. Frers is responsible for business strategy and development as well as production, finance, and personnel. Mr. Frers has been the CEO of both companies since the founding of Voltabox Deutschland GmbH and Voltabox AG in 2014.
As a businessman with many years of experience, Klaus Dieter Frers was honored in 2000 with the "Oscar of the Middle Class", awarded by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation and in 2006 was nominated by Ernst & Young as Entrepreneur of the Year. In the same year he received the "Premier" award of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation, four years later the "Plastics Oscar" of PES Central Europe.

He has worked in various industries such as metal production, injection molding, and electronics production. His career includes positions in quality assurance, production, and management. Rick Herndon has received various awards and prestigious certifications, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' Design Certification and the American Society for Quality's accreditation as Certified Quality Engineer. He also holds the Six Sigma Black Belt.
Rick Herndon became manager of a subsidiary of paragon AG in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2006, where he later held the position of Managing Director. In 2014 he was appointed COO of Voltabox of Texas, Inc. and moved to Austin, where he lives today.
After studying mechanical engineering, Jürgen Pampel was active at Weidmüller Interface GmbH & Co. KG in Detmold, Germany, as Head of Development and Construction as well as Head of Product Line Management.
With his qualification as Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Jürgen Pampel then successfully realized process development and optimization projects for renowned OEMs and supply companies. His career at paragon AG began in 2004 as Head of Business Development and led to the position of Managing Director of a subsidiary. Later he used his expertise as Head of Development at Artega Automobil GmbH & Co. KG in the comprehensive realization of a sports car project.
As Vice President Sales at Voltabox, Jürgen Pampel is today responsible for sales and project management for high-performance batteries and highly efficient drives worldwide.
